Catalog description

The course introduces and develops English teaching skills and knowledge while exploring trends in theory and methodology in the TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) field. Students will evaluate traditional instructional practices and cultivate techniques that may be considered "best practices." Students review approaches and methods to develop understanding of the knowledge, attitudes, and skills required to be an effective professional in this field and are introduced to how to write effective lesson plans. Prerequisite: Junior Standing. (F)
