Catalog description

This research-infused course investigates first and second language acquisition through three modules. The first, employing an introspective research project, explores the question, "What is acquired?" The second, addresses questions concerning the route and rate of language acquisition, using observation research to enhance student understanding. In the third module students conduct surveys and interviews to investigate what hinders or facilitates acquisition. Prerequisites: none. (SP)
