Catalog description
Focused work in the refinements in style and perspective involved in writing poetry with attention to general creative methods as well as specific tools of image, symbol, cadence and metaphor. Writers will explore both traditional and contemporary approaches to form and will work towards a capstone series of poems in which they select their own techniques. Prerequisite: ENGL 262; junior standing or higher (Sp)
