Catalog description

While exploring classical and contemporary theories of rhetoric, students will recognize the key elements of the "rhetorical situation," examine the connections between rhetoric and the visual world, and analyze issues and messages in both public and academic discourse in light of rhetorical theory. Prerequisites: ENGL 200 or its equivalent and junior standing or permission of instructor. (Sp)
