Serves as preparation for the undergraduate study of literature. Develops competency in methods of research and in the critical analysis of literature and promotes awareness of underlying critical assumptions both in other critics' and in students' own positions. Prerequisite: Completion of CA requirement and/or co-requisite ENGL 251. (F, Sp)
