Catalog description

A study of a representative selection of children's books, primarily picture story books and novels, exploring criteria for evaluation of their quality and purpose: art, propaganda or sub-literature. A range and variety of types are included. Themes are explored relative to children's needs and interests. Prerequisite: Sophomore standing or higher. (F, Sp)
