Ethical Leadership: Values and Vision

Catalog description
This course requires candidates to consider their professional behavior and ethics from legal perspectives, cultural expectations, and business standards, recognizing that a superintendent lives with a degree of public scrutiny as a leader of a school system. The course also requires candidates to identify their beliefs and how those impact the superintendent's role in decisions and frame their integrity as a school leader. Candidates also research school mission and vision statements, their purpose in guiding decision making and creating a brand for a school system, and in setting goals and expectations for the school and community. Prerequisites: NONE Offering Term(s): SS
