Catalog description

In this course, the application of genetic principles to dairy cattle improvement will be examined including development of genetic evaluation systems, interpretation of genetic evaluations, genomic prediction of predicted transmitting abilities, selection index development and utilization, and varied systems of dairy cattle mating. Prerequisites: ANSC 257. (F, Sp)
