Catalog description

The course covers an in-depth examination of current nutritional concepts pertaining to dairy cattle. Scientific rationale for nutrient requirements, feedstuff evaluation, and recommended feeding practices will be discussed, along with integration of biological models with economic principles and practical applications. Students will gain practice in sound ration formulation procedures. Prerequisite: DASC 236, Prerequisite/Co-requisite: AGBI 251 or CHEM 360
