Catalog description

This course is an introduction to management of calves as it relates to growth and health through weaning. Topics will focus on factors important for raising healthy, productive calves. This will include information and discussion about calving and dystocia, colostrum management, vaccinations, medical treatments, housing, feeding, and weaning. Prerequisites: DASC 106 or ANSC 150 and Junior or Senior standing. (Sp)
