Catalog description

This course introduces fundamental concepts and design principles in cybersecurity. Students will understand what information should be protected, why it should be protected, and how it will be protected. Topics include CIA (Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability), threats, attacks, defense, least privilege, access control and password management, security policies, critical controls, incident-handling and contingency planning, risk assessment and management.
