Catalog description
This course provides information regarding the nature of sound, including simple harmonic motion and sinusoidal sound waves, sound intensity and sound pressure, complex sound waves and resonance and filtering. The acoustic characteristics of speech sounds, spectrographic analysis, theories of speech perception and theories of speech production are also covered. Prerequisite CSD 160. (Sp)
