Catalog description

The course addresses the history, developments, structure, and present condition of correctional institutions as well as the people assigned to reside in them. Specific areas of focus in the course include trends of incarceration, conditions related to confinement, and the goals for punishment and corrections. This is a writing intensive course. Prerequisite: CRIM 200 or consent of instructor. (As offered)
