Catalog description

This is an introductory course on computer networks. Students will become comfortable with the concepts and vocabulary of computer networking and will gain hands-on experience in basic networking technology. Topics include: Network hardware, communication protocols, design and configuration of computer networks. The course also includes a lab component on installation, setup and administration of network operating systems and network equipments. Prerequisite: CIDS 161 (F)
