Catalog description

This course is an introduction to data structures using a contemporary programming language. Students will design and implement data structures such as Linked Lists, Stacks, Queues, Trees, and Hash Tables. Students will demonstrate an understanding of and use recursion, analyze the performance of algorithms and study algorithm design. Prerequisites: (a 'B' or better in CIDS 162 AND MATH 236) OR (a C or better in CIDS 235). (F, Sp)
