Undergraduate Research

Catalog description

Students will conduct laboratory or literature research on a chemistry-related topic under the direction of a faculty mentor. Students will write a formal scientific paper or thesis on the topic. Oral presentations on the project are required during the first semester of credit. Safety goggles, calculator and laboratory notebook may be required. A maximum of three credits of CHEM 495 may count toward the chemistry major. Prerequisites: consent of instructor. (F, Sp, Ss)
