Catalog description
This course is an examination of the structures, functions and metabolism of the biological macromolecules including proteins, carbohydrates and lipids. This course is intended primarily for pre-professional students who are looking for a single semester course in biochemistry that will prepare them for their pre-professional entrance exams and their professional programs. This course cannot be taken for credit if CHEM 361 or CHEM 362 have already been completed. Prerequisites: BIOL 150 or BIO 160; B- or better in CHEM 231, or a C- or better in CHEM 232, or a C- or better in CHEM 240. (F, Sp, S)
