Catalog description

This course is an introduction to organic chemistry laboratory techniques used in the preparation and characterization of organic compounds. Infrared spectroscopy, nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy, and mass spectrometry are introduced. Safety goggles are required. A laboratory manual (special course fee) will be provided. Pre-or Co-Requisite: CHEM 231. (F, Sp, Ss)
