Catalog description

This course is a continuation of CHEM 231. The nomenclature, properties, and typical reactions of alkynes, aromatic compounds, carboxylic acids and their derivatives, aldehydes, ketones, and amines will be studied. A brief introduction to carbohydrates and proteins will be presented. Prerequisites: A grade of C-or better in CHEM 231. (F, Sp, Ss)
