Catalog description

A one-semester course that surveys the structures, properties and reactivity of common organic functional groups. The course will also introduce select classes of biochemical molecules that relate to the common organic functional groups. This course is the second course of a general-organic-biochemistry sequence and is not open to students with credit in CHEM 231 or CHEM 233. Prerequisites: A grade of C- or better in CHEM 115 (F, Sp)
