Catalog description

This course is the first in the general chemistry sequence (CHEM 111/116 and 112/117) for programs requiring one or more years of chemistry. Topics covered include atomic and molecular structure, bonding theories, intermolecular forces, chemical formulas and equations, and chemical reactions and energy. A scientific calculator is required. Pre- or Corequisite Math 146, 147, 149, or 166; or WI Math placement test score of 70 or higher. Co-requisite with CHEM 116. (F, Sp, SS)
