Catalog description

This course will discuss the genetic, cellular, and molecular mechanisms for cancer formation and cancer metastasis. It will also cover the emerging aspects of cancer biology leading to new cancer therapies, such as cancer immunology, cancer stem cells, and cancer drug development. Cancer epidemiology and environmental risk factors will be briefly discussed as well. There will be a lab component and special course fee in this class. Prerequisites: BIOL 240. (As offered)
