Taiwan Biomed Study Abroad (g)

Catalog description

This study abroad course includes four weeks of travel, activities, and biomedical research in Taiwan during the J-term. The purpose of biomedical research is to test extracts from Chinese herbs and marine species for medicinal purposes using zebrafish models. Several Chinese culture and language workshops are included. Students will also visit universities in Taiwan and have meetings and outings with Taiwanese students. (W)
