Catalog description

In this course students will learn discipline-specific communication skills (verbal and written) in relation to contemporary art practices, history, and criticism. Students will acquire and practice critical viewing strategies and interpretative methods. Students will explore and research contemporary art movements and artists to inform their individual practices and develop skills to situate their own work in relation to contemporary art discourse. Prerequisite: ART 100 and ENGL 200. (F, Sp)
