Catalog description

This course provides a global perspective to the study of art, architecture, photography, and other visual media beginning with the Industrial Revolution to the present day. Concepts central to art history, including consideration of various media, techniques and processes, iconography, and other modern and contemporary theories are explored in relation to political structures, technologies, social norms, philosophical and intellectual frameworks, and world views.
