This course provides a global approach to the study of art history from prehistory through the Industrial Revolution, in Europe. Concepts central to art history, including various media, techniques and processes, and iconography are explored within a global context in relation to political structures, technologies, social norms, philosophical world views, and cosmological beliefs.
