Catalog description

This course explores visual elements and principles of design and introduces students to the fundamental design concepts related to art-making through two-dimensional and three-dimensional hands-on design applications. Students will investigate the concepts of emphasis and focal point, pattern and repetition, contrast, space, and time and motion. This course will lean more heavily toward the three-dimensional application of concepts. Course fee required. (F, Sp)
