Catalog description

Current views and facts on equine nutrition, exercise physiology, diseases and health concerns, lameness, parasites, herd behavior, and reproduction will be covered. Pasture management and forage quality will also be briefly discussed. Students will also design an equine facility over the course of the semester. Prerequisites: ANSC 167 and ANSC 231 (F, Sp).
