Catalog description

This course applies genetic principles to the improvement of beef, sheep, and swine herds. The identification of economically relevant traits, interpretation of genetic evaluations, genomic prediction of breeding values, selection index utilization, and mating systems that maximize hybrid vigor will be examined. Prerequisites: ANSC 257. (F, Sp)
