Catalog description

This course will focus on the principles of companion animal behaviors, understanding those behaviors, and training / behavior modification of companion animals, with an emphasis on dogs and cats. Topics will include social behavior and communication, learning, reward-based training methodology, behavioral modification, and topics in safe facility / safe restraint techniques. Prerequisites: ANSC 121 (F, Sp).
