Catalog description

This course provides an introduction to the principles of nutrition and feeding of domestic animals. It covers basic physical and chemical characteristics of feeds including nutrient classes and nutritional terminology. The course will also include the effects of processing methods on nutrient value, and basic ration formulation. Prerequisite: ANSC 111 or 150 or 151 or 167 or 121 or DASC 106 or BIOL 150/160 or PLSC 161 (F, Sp)
