Catalog description
This course will give an overview of the history and current field of Equine Assisted Activities and Therapies (EAAT). It will include the necessary coursework and description of the requirements of PATH International to prepare for the certification of each student as a Registered Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor. The course will also include lab hours to gain practical experience working with riders in a therapeutic riding setting. Laboratory hours will count toward in-service hours required by PATH for certification. Prerequisite: ANSC 168 (F)
