Introduction to Swine and Poultry Production

Catalog description

This course will include the basic production practices for swine and poultry. The class will have both lecture and lab components that will introduce the students to swine and poultry. Topics included are: animal handling, growth and development, nutrients and requirements of them, health management, reproduction and breeding. During this course the students will be involved in all stages of production of poultry or swine.
