Catalog description

This course introduces you to fundamentals of managing agricultural wastes including: livestock manure, crop residues, sediments, and processing wastes. Fundamentals of wastewater treatment processes are discussed. The physical, chemical and biological characteristics of wastes required for the design of waste management systems will be reviewed. The principles of design and selection of waste management processes and equipment will be studied. Prerequisite: CHEM 111,116. (F)
