Catalog description

This course will address the principles and processes of effective leadership in complex organizations of society and commerce. Course content focuses on leadership and participant skills in small groups and teams. Furthermore, leadership dynamics that make team leaders and members influential and satisfied in both informal and work group settings will be examined. Students will develop an understanding of the dynamic interactions of personal characteristics, technical skills, interpersonal influence, commitment, goals, and power. Considerable emphasis will be placed on leadership techniques.
