Catalog description

This is a survey course emphasizing issues related to natural resource allocation, including discussions of incomplete property rights , externalities, and public goods. Consideration is given to the equity and efficiency implications of public policies to direct the use of energy resources, minerals, water, forests, wildlife, and land. Considerable emphasis is placed on sustainability taking into account society, environment, and economics. Prerequisite: AGEC 230 or ECON 201 (F)
