The course is designed to prepare students to teach the young adolescent (ages 10-16/grades 6-9). Its purpose is to help teacher certification candidates understand the developmental characteristics of the young adolescent and select/plan developmentally appropriate instruction/curriculum/learning environments that are responsive to their emotional, social, physical, moral and intellectual needs. Components: Class Prereqs/Coreqs: P: Admission to School of Education and Admission to Elementary Education Degree Completion Typically Offered: Based on Student Demand
