Catalog description

This course explores precision data as a key management tool in modern agricultural cropping systems, emphasizing the use of industry-standard software platforms to support data-driven decision-making. Topics include data correction and calibration, spatial data querying, research protocol development, spatial interpolation methods, and prescription map creation. Students will gain hands-on experience processing field data to generate actionable insights that improve production efficiency and sustainability. Components: Laboratory, Class Prereqs/Coreqs: P: SCSCI 3280 or consent of instructor; MATH 1830 is recommended Typically Offered: Spring - odd year
