The origin, nature, and properties of soils with emphasis on soil-plant-water relations. Exploration of physical, chemical, and biological properties of soils through lecture, laboratory, and field activities. Evaluation of the influence soil properties have on various uses including suitability for plant growth, regulator of air and water, and as an engineering medium.
