Catalog description

This seminar explores the dynamic and evolving field of skills-based health education through the lens of holistic wellness. Designed for HHP-Physical Education emphasis students, this course provides an opportunity to investigate current and emerging health topics while deepening understanding of wellness dimensions that extend beyond the physical dimension. Students will examine the interconnectedness of environmental, spiritual, occupational, intellectual, financial, and emotional wellness and apply the skills-based approach to teaching, learning, and personal practice.By the end of the course, students will be able to integrate the skills-based model into comprehensive health education programming and articulate ow a balanced approach to wellness fosters lifelong resilience and social responsibility.
