Introduction to Adapted Physical Education and Disability Sport

Catalog description

This course will cover knowledge provided regarding conditions which impede psychomotor functioning within the physical education setting. It is a generic approach to adapting physical education to the needs of special populations. Information on assessment and IEP formation is also provided. Additional information on the various recreational and competitive sport opportunities for individuals with disabilities will be explored, taught, and experienced by students within this course.
