Catalog description

This course is designed to prepare future professionals in the health, physical education, wellness, and recreation fields for facilitating an effective adventure educational environment and for leading groups on outdoor pursuits excursions. Students will learn advanced concepts leadership and teambuilding, various outdoor pursuits, safety and risk management considerations, and large group facilitation and dynamics. The course is a five-day intensive course which requires multiple overnight stays. Components: Laboratory, Class GE: NSW Natural Science & Wellness, NSW-WA Physical Activity Typically Offered: Winter
