This course will focus on a specific topic or theme related to minority ethnic literatures in the United States. Students may read literature from African American, Asian American, Latinx, and/or Native American Writers. In all sections, students will also learn basic concepts in Ethnic Studies, such as the social construction of race/ethnicity, privilege and oppression, and the intersection of race and ethnicity with gender, sexuality, and class. May be repeated once for credit, provided the content varies.
