Catalog description

The second course in a two-semester sequence, English 1230 introduces research techniques, documentation styles, and writing strategies. Emphasis is placed on analyzing information and ideas and incorporating research findings into writing and research projects. Upon completion, students should be able to evaluate and synthesize information from primary and secondary sources using documentation appropriate to various disciplines. Components: Class GE: CL Communication & Literacy, CL-L Written Communication Prereqs/Coreqs: P: ENGLISH 1130 or ENGLISH 1040 or an English placement score of 23 Typically Offered: Fall - Spring - Summer
