The first course in a two-semester sequence, English 1130 is designed to provide students with reading, writing, and critical thinking skills necessary to produce effective college-level expository writing. Students are placed in this course according to current state placement policy. Components: Class Prereqs/Coreqs: P: a score above the 10th percentile, according to state norms, on the UW-System English Placement Test Typically Offered: Fall - Spring - Summer
