Catalog description

This course examines the architectural principles and operational practices used to design and manage large-scale, distributed data systems. Students develop hands-on experience with high-availability deployments, data migration, and disaster recovery using a DevOps-oriented approach. Using private cloud infrastructure and container management, the course emphasizes lifecycle management of both relational and NoSQL databases. Topics include scalable real-time data processing, data security and encryption, and system observability through performance monitoring and centralized logging.
