Catalog description

A comprehensive, yet practical study of safety management principles and concepts for general industry designed for ITM/Occupational Safety Management majors/minors. Students learn various management strategies for the identification, evaluation, and correction of unsafe behaviors in the work place. Emphasis is placed on reduction of injuries, fatalities, and accidents in general industries such as manufacturing, healthcare, warehousing, distribution and retail through application of OSHA 29 CFR 1910. Upon successful completion of class (attendance required) students receive the OSHA 30 Hour card. Components: Class Prereqs/Coreqs: P: AETM 1010 Typically Offered: Fall
