Explores basic cryptography issues, fundamentals of cryptography and its applications, classical and contemporary ciphers, encryption, and decryption. Focuses on network security and a holistic view of security issues in communication networks, including key management protocols, secure routing, secure data aggregation, secure group communication, and wireless network security issues. Examines cryptography applications, protocols, libraries, and automated tools. Multi-career cross-listing: CSCI 484 . Not available for students with credit in: CSCI 484 .
