Catalog description

The course is a discussion of hemostasis theory and hemostasis diagnostic testing. Students will gain a foundation knowledge of normal hemostasis, abnormal hemostasis, and other disease states that may impact hemostasis. Students will also gain in-depth knowledge of hemostatic diagnostic tests. Students will utilize knowledge of diagnostic tests and hemostatic disorders to complete hemostatic disease-related case studies. Laboratory components of this course include discussion and review of common laboratory hemostasis testing.
