Catalog description

This course is intended for First Year Research Exposure (FYRE) participants. Students learn strategies to be successful in college. The course focuses on identifying and utilizing available college and community resources as well as learning about current undergraduate research opportunities. Topics include accessibility, mental health, awareness, reflection, personal statements, undergraduate research opportunities, and time management. Recommended for all students participating in the College of Science and Health FYRE Program. Repeatable for credit - maximum four credits. Consent of instructor. Pass/Fail grading. Offered Fall, Spring.
